Fred's donated flags flew over the range throughout the shoot. On Sunday, many of us ate our meals there and talked about history, shooting, and politics. The Liberty Writers also spoke about how talk can be turned into action.

Given the times we live in, brass cleanup was no problem with reloaders walking the line hunting down each case as if they were hidden gold.

38 Shooters

We had 38 shooters on the line Saturday. 22lr rifles dominated the line, and .308's matching .223 in numbers. We even had two Mosins and one .270 bolt on the line.

Clearing the line

After each string, the line was quickly cleared by the orange hats while shooters listened for the all clear to move forward or prepare a magazine.

Once cleared, shooters and trainers head down range to score, adjust, and troubleshoot results. Inches, minutes, clicks are what matter here. Well, that and NPOA.

Sunday began with a change of line. We moved to a relay system with 12 shooters firing at a time while the others listened to history from TC.

Our elder lefties not only cover the right flank with their M1A's, but they even won the 5 square game. TC pointed out the deadly role older shooters played on April 19th & 20th.

Women shooters were in great numbers at Wabash. From teens to Grandmas they shot the line and did extremely well. Here two left handed shooters take on the AQT, one with a lever .22 that she skillfully kept pace with.

Dinky Dao Clearing LTR

Sunday came with strong winds that caused us to almost lose the man made shade we had over part of the line. At one point just as the winds came in strongest, a shooter had a hangfire/jam that required clearing. Moments before the tear down, Dinky Dao clears the rifle while other shooters hold down the cover. (To be clear, all shooters were behind the 180 of the LTR's muzzel!)

Of all the shooters over the weekend, one stood out for her sitting position. Not only could she transition effortlessly to sitting from standing, but she could steady her elbows on the ground.
